Psst! Writers, Editors, Where Are You?

AV-VA-autumn2013If you’re a writer or editor, the Editors’ Association of Canada (EAC)/Association canadienne des réviseurs (ACR) could use you for its next issue of Active Voice/Voix active, a bi-yearly national and bilingual magazine that puts editing and editors to the fore. In this publication you can read about members’ activities, conferences, and topics that not only interest language professionals but also professionals of all walks of life. In the last issue, for instance, Active Voice/Voix active zeroed in on co-working spaces, an ever-growing trend that interests freelance workers like myself. You can read more on this topic by clicking here.

The next issue of Active Voice/Voix active should be distributed some time this spring—I’m presuming in mid-April or early May, just before the EAC’s national editing conference. If you’re interested in contributing a story idea or giving a helping hand in editing texts, you can consult these messages I saw on the association’s Facebook page. Click here for the English version and here for an invitation en français. Et oui, l’équipe de Voix active recherche toujours des collaborateurs francophones!

If you’re not able to collaborate this time around, no sweat. The next issue is scheduled to be out this fall.
